oratis is more than just a commentary system – it is a universal intercom platform. The product range includes innovative network-enabled intercom subscriber panels. These connect to intercom matrix cards, providing access to the entire network. Intercom systems can be built to include up to 4,096 ports that can all be used simultaneously. The system supports large-scale facility or nationwide installations with consistent integrated intercom technology.

The high quality 24bit, 48kHz audio (with internal 32bit processing) enables oratis to be used to distribute broadcast signals. This includes not only transparent routing but even the generation and processing of such signals. Digital audio cards supporting the AES3 or MADI formats are available for transparent routing of studio signals (including Dolby-E signals).

Alternatively, the signals can be directly fed to an oratis subscriber panel over an AES3 port; this is useful when using external sources physically located near to a subscriber panel. The open system architecture and the excellent audio quality make oratis a networked, distributed premium-quality audio-routing system with minimal cabling requirements.
