Integrated Benefits

The oratis COM3 commentator terminal incorporates a Gigabit Ethernet switch offering two ports for connecting the terminal over Gigabit Ethernet lines (layer 2 protocol) to an oratis matrix frame. Therefore, redundancy is an intrinsic feature of the system.

The switch also offers four 100-Mbps downstream ports for other services. These ports can be used separately from the oratis system, for example, for displaying instructions from the intranet on a notebook computer, providing web access, or for browsing videos at the commentator’s position. oratis COM3 is a sturdy yet svelte console terminal. It can be powered from an AC outlet or alternatively from a 12-V
source such as a camera battery.

Each oratis COM3 can also be fitted with an intercom module. Since headphones and a microphone are already present, a simple keypad is sufficient for target selection. DELEC modules and third-party components alike can be used.
